Harmony House

Harmony House is a modern sanctuary located in the heart of Kannur, designed to block out the surrounding urban activity. The residence is arranged around a central courtyard containing a mature Frangipani tree, serving as a private green oasis that facilitates cross-ventilation.

We utilized local laterite stone walls to create thermal mass, keeping the ground floor cool during mid-day heat. Above, custom-engineered bamboo louvers rotate dynamically to provide solar protection, casting delicate, animated shadows across the polished terrazzo floors throughout the day.
